Alright, haven't updated in awhile So, last night was the most comical and somewhat relaxed concert i've performed in. haha Man... if koven conducted that night... with all those major mishaps and all.... she'd flip out completely. Started off with our small brass group walking down the isle playing "Just a closer walk" it went well sorta, i kinda speed up my walking speed and as a result it didnt look that great. After that, played our first 2 songs with Mr. Lamb playing the lead part, but after those 2 songs is when it was my turn to step up. This was my time to shine! This was the moment that i was constantly worried about, it was only 2 songs which i had to play the lead part. the first bar and a half went well... then i flubbed up one of my notes (which got me really really nervous about the rest of the song) but hit the next and went on. In the end, it was pretty good, i wasn't too satisfied with my performance but i didnt mess up any more notes =D Then it was the strings turn Then after was the small strings ensemble. It was wonderful hearing them play. I thought they were the best group out there. However, it was slightly noticeable that they got lost for a few measures. Beginner band sounded alright, i think this years band sounded slightly better than the one a few years back...maybe its because they had some help from some senior band students. Jazz band. haha im thankful for Mr. Lamb to be playing with us or else it would have sounded... not as good. harharhah. i feel like playing those songs again...*for those who want the songs we played, ask me for them, i will send it to you* Then finally...DT's Concert band. the highlight of our performance was when we... suddenly stopped playing a few lines before the end... hahah i dont even know what happeend there =D but oh wells! moving on... my lips were getting really tired as we played song after song. Total pieces played = 19 Something off topic... my winter vacation starts on the 19th! coming back on the 10th of january I'm leaving... on a jet plane.... |
